In modern server and storage systems, large amounts of data must be transferred reliably and with stable performance. The InLine® Slim SAS cable with SFF-8654 8i connectors enables a direct internal connection between SAS controllers and storage devices.
When setting up server systems, the cable is often used to connect RAID controllers or HBA cards to backplanes or individual SAS hard drives. With support for eight channels, multiple drives can be connected in parallel.
The cable also serves as an internal connection between controllers and storage modules in storage extensions such as JBOD or DAS systems. The locking clip ensures a stable connection during operation.
